God Is Not Other Than
Religion has really done a number on us, hasn’t it…
We’ve thrown the baby out with the bath water, rejected our Divine nature as it became too closely associated with an ‘other’, a ‘God’. Wrapped in control and fear and rules, it tops out in good standing with the Divine, but this does not go far enough.
Beyond right and wrong,
good and evil,
beyond form and formless,
duality and nonduality.
It doesn’t traverse into union with the Divine… as the Divine.
It’s merely man’s best version,
born of the limited conceptions of the thinking mind,
not sunken into the unity of the heart.
The heart that knows: I am ALL of this.
Both Divine and Human.
All is The Self.
To whom do I pray?
To that which I am.
To whom do I bow?
To that which I am.
God/ess is not other,
it is our essential nature,
our primordial ground.
To whom do I surrender?
That which I am.
All is the Self.
Yes… even the fleeting human experience.
All a dance of Consciousness,
loving all expressions of itSelf.
