In Conversation with the Divine
“Life is a conversation with the divine”
Life isn’t a monologue delivered from on high, nor a problem to be solved,
it’s a living exchange,
a listening and a responding.
A question asked through circumstance, sensation, longing…
and an answer that arrives as weather, interruption, grief, love, timing.
Conversation, in this sense, is not something we conduct,
it’s something that opens.
Sometimes the divine speaks as clarity.
Sometimes as silence.
Sometimes as the exact thing we didn’t ask for.
And whether we notice or not, we are already responding.
Not just with words, but with how we meet what arrives…
whether we harden, soften, resist, consent, stay, flee, trust, close, open again.
In that sense, prayer isn’t a special activity,
it’s the whole posture of a life.
Every moment says something.
Every moment listens back.
Nothing is outside of the conversation.
